Panel will contextualize AAPI participation in national electoral politics. What were our triumphs, our lessons learned, and the challenges AAPIs must address in elections to come? How do we increase and continue civic engagement work beyond elections? What should be our community’s goals and benchmarks moving into the 2013 midterms, 2014 Presidential election and beyond?

During this interactive session, advocates and government representatives will have a robust discussion about key policy principles and priorities facing AAPI communities, and community-based strategies for influencing positive policy change. We will hear from members of the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) as well as leaders within the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus and the White House.
